Located in Hamilton County, Indiana, Noblesville is home to home 55,000 residents.  In 1818, the land which is now Hamilton County was purchased from the Native Americans who lived there.  There was only one settler, named William Conner, living there at the time with his wife. They established the first trading post in 1802.  In 1823, what is currently downtown Noblesville was laid out and the town was incorporated in 1851.  The town was probably named after a US senator from Indiana, James Nobel, or perhaps after Lavina Noble.

Shopping & Dining

Noblesville is an ideal place to shop and dine.  There are plenty of unique shops to choose from.  A Corner Cottage carried gift items, clothing, antiques, vintage items, home décor, and more.  The outdoor equipment giant, Cabela’s, is located on Interstate 69 near the Hamilton town Center.  The Hamilton Town Center features over 90 retail stores and restaurants, along with a theater. Other great stores include Linden Tree Unique Gifts, Logan Village Mall, and Old Picket Fence, just to name a few.

There are some truly delicious places to eat in Noblesville.  Rosie's Cafe serves breakfast and lunch classic, along with a bakery and catering services. Matteo's Ristorante Italiano features fine Italian cuisine in a relaxed environment. They also offer a private room for family or company gatherings. And for those in need of an Irish pub, there’s Mo’s Irish Pub.  Other top restaurants in Noblesville are Aspen Creek Grill, Ginger’s Café, Kobayashi Sushi Restaurant, Rio Grande Fresh Mexican Grill, and many others.

Parks & Recreation

Noblesville offers a number of fun recreational options.  There are 7 public and private golf courses.  There’s a huge public park system that includes Forest Park and Dr. James A. Dillon Park, Seminary Park, and Southside Park.  There are also 3 parks in development.


Students in Noblesville mostly attend Noblesville Schools, although some attend Hamilton Southeastern Schools. Schools in those systems include Noblesville High School, Noblesville East Middle School, Noblesville West Middle School, Hazel Dell Elementary, Hinkle Creek Elementary, Noble Crossing Elementary, North Elementary, Promise Road Elementary, Stony Creek Elementary, White River Elementary.  Private schools include Our Lady of Grace School and Legacy Christian School.


Riverview Health is the main medical facility in Noblesville and offers family medicine along with specialty services for cancer, heart, orthopedic, or women’s issues.
